FREE STRATEGY EXECUTION TOOL
90-day execution
and capacity planner.
Test whether your quarterly initiatives compete for the same people. Change the sequence, scope or commitments before promising a delivery date.
Start with the time your team can commit.
Plan up to eight initiatives across three resource groups and 13 whole planning weeks (91 days), used as a quarterly approximation. Enter the hours available for change after routine work. Demand is hours required from each group in every active week, not the initiative’s total hours.
The page starts with invented figures. Your edits stay in this browser page and are not submitted or automatically saved. Download a plan file or print to keep a copy. Replacing the example, opening a file, reloading or closing can replace or lose unsaved edits.
Read the worked example and methodThe interactive planner requires JavaScript. The worked example below and the guide remain available without it.
Where the plan competes for capacity
- Total scheduled change-hours
- —
- Largest resource-week excess
- —
- Overloaded resource-weeks
- —
Each cell shows required / available hours. A + value identifies an excess. Scroll the table horizontally on a phone; the rest of the page stays within the screen.
REFERENCE EXAMPLE · FICTIONAL
Same hours. A different sequence.
The original example uses 155 change-hours. Finance is overloaded in weeks 1–4 and operations in weeks 3–4: six resource-week conflicts, with a largest gap of 6 hours. Moving the six-week reporting pilot from week 1 to week 5 removes the numerical conflicts without changing the 155 hours. The fourth, market-entry initiative remains excluded in both examples.
The comparison button replaces the page with that sequenced fictional example. It does not optimise your own initiatives or establish that a particular initiative should wait.
Read the result with its limits
- A resource-week is one resource group in one week. Two overloaded groups in the same week count as two conflicts, not two separate calendar weeks.
- Capacities are constant across the 13 weeks. The planner does not model calendar dates, leave, partial weeks, skills, approvals, dependencies, cash or uncertain duration. It does not prove feasibility or commercial benefit.
- Resource groups must not double-count the same person’s hours. Owner and outcome fields support the review but are not assessed by the arithmetic.
- Invalid inputs hide results. Plan files must use this tool’s supported JSON structure and be under 64 KB. Files are opened locally.
Printing uses your browser’s print dialog. A saved PDF is a record of the displayed plan, not a reusable editable plan file.
